  • Lori Barnes

Since 2001, Lori has been practicing the Pilates method of body conditioning. Noticing the many positive benefits Pilates brought to her own life such as strength, flexibility, balance, awareness, and the ease of performing daily tasks, Lori wanted to share Pilates with as many people that would be willing to learn. In 2003 she obtained a comprehensive teaching certification from Rael Isacowitz through BASI (Body Arts and Science International), opened her own studio in 2005, and since then has worked closely with professional athletes, physical therapists, chiropractors, senior citizens, expectant mothers, BASI students, and clients needing rehabilitation. While working in Pilates studios and physical therapy clinics, Lori continued her own Pilates practice while studying and learning many other forms of body movement. She quickly realized that anyone who is able to move should absolutely be incorporating Pilates into their physical fitness regime. The Club Pilates vision to bring people “quality Pilates at happy prices” aligns perfectly with what Lori believes to be the only way to make the most important form of body conditioning available to everyone. Lori is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and is currently working towards her biology degree. Her main goal in life is to help others eliminate unnecessary aches and pains and feel great. She believes that being physically fit is a result of living without pain. Lori knows that Pilates is the safest and most effective method to achieve this perfect balance, and she is looking forward to sharing it with you!

  • Mari Brown

A classically trained ballet dancer, Mari was first introduced to the wonders of Pilates 10 years ago when she was recovering from an ankle injury. She was looking for a way to keep her body strong and well-conditioned while she waited for her ankle to heal fully, and in her first session, she discovered that Pilates challenged her body in ways it had never been challenged before. Upon her return to the ballet studio, she noticed significant improvements in her ballet technique simply from adding Pilates into her weekly schedule. Years later, right after receiving her BFA in Dance Performance and minor in Psychology from UC Irvine, she decided to get certified to teach Pilates through Diane Diefenderfer's teacher training program at Studio du Corps in Costa Mesa, CA. Initially, she decided to become certified to teach simply so that she'd be able to support herself while pursuing ballet professionally, but she had no idea that it would lead her to choose a different career path - physical therapy. The more she taught, the more she believed that Pilates truly is life-changing and the more she appreciated being able to share it with others and watch each of them progress into stronger, healthier individuals. She is aiming to apply to physical therapy school in the near future and is excited to see how much Pilates will benefit her and her future patients.

  • Natalia Garcia

A Bay Area native, Natalia was first introduced to Pilates while earning her degree in Dance Choreography at the University of California, Irvine. She immediately found the benefits to the work as she got stronger, more flexible, and developed a higher stamina, even while dancing 50 hours a week. After graduation, she decided to go through the Studio du Corps teacher training program, lead by her professor and mentor, Diane Diefenderfer. Well rounded in both street and studio dance techniques, Natalia is eager to share the Pilates repertoire not only with those in the dance community, but with anyone and everyone who is ready to make a positive lifestyle change to their personal health and wellness.

  • Shirine Rehmani

Shirine is originally from Orange County, CA. She has trained extensively in many different styles of dance for over twenty years. Shirine was introduced to Pilates through her dance training and immediately fell in love with it. While attending University of California, Irvine and majoring in Dance Choreography and International Studies she was able to work with Diane Diefenderfer in both ballet and Pilates. Diane is a renowned Pilates master teacher who was trained by Romana Kryzanowska and Ron Fletcher. After graduating from UCI in 2015, she completed her Pilates Teacher Training Program with Diane Diefenderder at Studio du Coprs in Costa Mesa, CA. Shirine has been practicing Pilates herself for 8 years and teaching it for over a year now. She has experience working with many different kinds of clients and has a passion for helping others reduce their pain and improve their overall health and happiness. Shirine’s ultimate goal is to become a Physical Therapist. Besides teaching Pilates, Shirine spends her time choreographing and performing with her own contemporary dance company, Roots & Wings Dance Project and going on hikes with her puppy Corby.

  • Miku Yoshida

Miku has been practicing Pilates for over 5 years as a supplement to her dancing career. She graduated from UC IRVINE with a B.F.A in dance performance with an emphasis in ballet. She believes in classical Pilates as the foundation to promote alignment of the body and adds a modern twist to challenge the class. Miku continues to teach Pilates because she wants her clients to strive for longevity and to overcome their fears.

  • Taryn Killion

Taryn grew up heavily invested in dance and figure skating and started Pilates as a method of cross training and physical therapy. In her late teens she quit skating to solely focus on dance. Pilates was the only thing that consistently kept her strong, mobile, and the chronic injuries at bay. After a few years traveling with a company and dancing professionally she decided it was time to invest in her Pilates education further. Having taught multiple dance styles for almost 8 years, teaching Pilates felt like a seamless and rewarding transition. She received her comprehensive training from Balanced Body and has experience working with clients of all all levels, backgrounds, and capabilities. Most importantly, she loves to teach because of the encouraging yet challenging environment Pilates inspires.

  • Adriana Sullentrop

Pilates became her passion, and she became a certified instructor in 2012. Adriana loves Pilates because it improves balance and posture, eases body pains, and gives a better quality of life.

  • Rebecca Garcia

Rebecca has always been interested in fitness and exercise, but it wasn’t until after her first baby that Rebecca first tried Pilates. It only took one class to become intrigued and after the first month, she loved the way her body felt and moved differently. It soon became Rebecca’s primary source of exercise and movement. After a few years as a regular client, Rebecca began her teacher training through Club Pilates and discovered how challenging Pilates truly is! Rebecca truly loves sharing her passion for Pilates with her clients. As an instructor, she has a great appreciation for Pilates and how it is an individual workout. She loves being able to meet her clients wherever they are now and continue to build from there. Whether you’re looking for a challenging workout, want to focus on a particular goal, or you’ve never tried Pilates before and want to know what it’s all about, she wants to be your partner in your Pilates experience! When she’s not in the studio, Rebecca enjoys spending time outdoors with her own family and exploring life with them.
